To further promote the spirit of Lei Feng, implement the “health first” educational philosophy, and advance the integrated development of mental health education across primary, secondary, and tertiary schools, our school’s “Blue Envelope” volunteer service activity concluded warmly at Bocai Baihe Primary School on March 27th. The school meticulously organized 65 volunteers to enter the campus, using blue letters carrying care as a link to build a bridge of communication between universities and primary schools, conveying warmth and listening to hearts.
The event focused on mental health cultivation and companionship, featuring two core components. Xiao Changgen, Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor of the Department of Psychology, School of Humanities and Management, delivered a lecture titled “How Are You Feeling?” Using simple language, he guided elementary school students to recognize emotions, learn to express them, and master regulation methods, encouraging them to face life with a positive attitude and integrate mental health knowledge into their daily lives. During the interactive session, volunteers patiently listened to the children’s voices, carefully understanding their personalities, learning situations, and psychological states. The children responded actively, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere. After the lecture, volunteers presented heartwarming gifts and, through mutual selection, formed “blue envelope” letter-writing partnerships with the children, embarking on a long-term journey of care.
